THE
FILMS
We have always been uncompromising when it comes to selecting our suppliers and upholding the exemplary standards of our partners.
The vast majority of the fabrics we use are of European origin. Selecting them is a key step in our creative process, enabling us to ensure a more virtuous production. Our swimwear and beachwear collections are made using bonded, Sensitive® and stretch voile fabrics sourced from Italy. Their main qualities are finesse and a second-skin feel, high breathability, quick drying, and anti-pilling properties.
Our iconic lace, featuring an exclusive pattern, is produced by a partner workshop in France. Fine, soft, and stretchy, it is perfect for our lingerie and ready-to-wear creations.
Our world has always revolved around the Mediterranean Basin. Pain de Sucre was born in Marseille and continues to grow there. All our collections are designed and prototyped in-house. The marking, cutting, and lining of all products are also carried out by our own workshop. Only the garment assembly is entrusted to partner workshops in France and Tunisia. Everything is imagined and created around the blue dream that is the Mediterranean.
Producing the right quantities is a daily challenge that we are deeply committed to. We have always taken care to assess our production volumes according to orders, with a constant focus on optimization and avoiding unnecessary overproduction.
Each of our creations is designed and crafted to last and accompany you on your most beautiful adventures. To ensure their longevity, please refer to our care guide.
We are constantly striving to reduce the impact of our consumables by following developments in clean materials and printing technologies.
We prioritize FSC-certified materials for all our paper and cardboard components, including shopping bags and gift boxes. The tissue paper that enhances our packaging is recyclable and made from 100% natural FSC paper, using virgin pulp of first-life quality composed solely of pure cellulose fibers.
Our fabric pouches are made from 100% cotton and are both recyclable and biodegradable.
Our flat pouches with zippers are made from plant-based waste.
Our zippered pouches are made from 100% recycled and recyclable EVA (except for the zipper, which must be removed). They are designed to be kept and reused for storing and protecting swimwear.
Pain de sucre is sponsoring 'Marseille Mosaïque', a collaborative artistic and civic-minded project to create a sustainable dressing for the longest bench in the world... Located on the Corniche Kennedy, it stretches for almost 3 kilometres and offers one of the most breathtaking panoramicviews over Marseille.
In order to provide a covering for the prime spectator seats at the sailing competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, a mosaic artist is setting up a team of young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods on training and employment contracts. The aim: to create more urban, colourful and participative works of art.
In March 2023, Pain de Sucre inaugurated the installation of its mosaic in Marseille on the longest bench in the world, on the edge of La Corniche Kennedy...
